Mondays are for the Links: 5/3/10
I have neglected Mondays are for the Links for over a month, so it is back with an extended version this week.
Crossway, publishers of the English Standard Version (ESV) Bible has released a simple and what I believe the best free pure Bible intake tool on the internet. It is in beta and it’s already high on the awesomeness scale.
Great hymn project from Sandra McCracken, “I didn’t begin this story. I have written some of these hymns. And I have been written by these hymns. It is my hope that you will find yourself in these hymns, too.” Well said.
Love this very visual lesson on leadership.
Here is a great story about a football player who is about to be a millionaire and has overcome a lot of odds to get there. I’ve long been a fan of Bay-Bay Thomas but after reading this story I’m even more impressed.
This one is for my wife, hope she reads this. Honey here are some good tips for that new fancy camera of yours.
Some FREE audio books, lots of classics.
I’ve often said that if the church could tap into Coca-Cola’s model of distribution (I’ve been to some remote places in this world but there is always a Coke to be found) then the church would have no problem getting the gospel to the four corners of the world. Well it looks like someone else has this same distribution idea.
You can be Jackson Pollock here and it’s really fun, even for real kids.
Since this list of links is taking an artistic twist, here is some pretty amazing art.
I like this Rock n Roll map, it’s not only accurate, it’s also pretty cool.
More amazing art using spray paint.
Great practical design that will probably never make it to market.
This is a picture of my future library.
An wonderful interview with one my favorite singer/songwriters Bill Malonee.
Great practical tips for international traveling, especially to developing countries.
Free fonts are always nice.
One last art link, street art.
Quote of the week: “Religious social activism not rooted in love for God is driven by love for idols. It pretends to come from concern for others or for God’s kingdom, but actually it is motivated by the worship of humanity or disguised forms of self-glorification (Richard Lovelace, Renewal as a Way of Life 31).”
